A Sri Lankan live band in Dubai since 2014

Acoustica Dubai is a Sri Lankan, six-piece live band based in Dubai. Since 2014 the band has been bringing Sinhala favourites, baila and international hits to stages across the UAE — at weddings, corporate events, hotels, clubs, live music venues and private celebrations.

For Sri Lankans living in the UAE, live Sinhala music is a connection to home. Acoustica's setlist is built around songs audiences know and love, played live by six musicians with powerful vocals, so guests can sing along and fill the dance floor.

Sinhala favourites and baila, played live

Our setlist includes much-loved Sinhala songs by artists such as Clarence Wijewardena, C.T. Fernando, Billy Fernando, Chithral Somapala, Athula Adhikari and Rookantha Gunathilaka, alongside baila classics from Sunil Perera and The Gypsies and others. Baila has its own filter on our setlist page, so you can see exactly which baila songs the band performs.

Because many events bring together guests from different backgrounds, the band also plays international hits. We shape the balance between Sinhala, baila and English songs around your audience.

Events we perform at

Sri Lankan weddings: from a gentle start as guests arrive to a baila-filled dance floor later in the night, sets are paced around your programme, and you can send us your must-play songs and first dance.

Community and cultural events: associations, gatherings and celebrations can book the band for a live programme suited to the audience.

Private parties and corporate events: birthdays, anniversaries and company celebrations where Sri Lankan and international guests come together.

Acoustica was also the official live band for the UAE Semi-Finals of the Voice of Mangalore singing competition, and regularly performs at clubs and live music venues across Dubai.

How booking works

Send a short enquiry with your event type, date, location and any notes. We'll review it and confirm availability, then send an itemised quotation. A booking is confirmed once the written quotation/agreement is accepted and the advance payment is received. An enquiry or quotation alone does not reserve the date. Sound, lighting and stage are supplied by the event or venue. Final production requirements are confirmed in your quotation and agreed directly with the organiser, and our technical rider is available on request. A private, air-conditioned room for the band is mandatory and must be provided by the organiser from arrival until departure.
